Swing Trend Trading:  This type of trading has been around forever. We look for markets that are trending either up or down. When a market is trending up we wait for the market to hit resistance and make a slight swing lower and find support and enter buy signals anticipating another swing higher. When a market is trending down we wait for the market to find support and swing slightly higher and find resistance and enter sell signals anticipating another swing lower. 

Trending Markets:  Trends can be either up or down. A trend that is up is simple a market continues to make higher highs and higher lows. A trend that is down is simple a market continues to make lower highs and lower lows.  

FIbonacci:  In the 13th century Leonardo Fiibonnaci published his best know work Liber-Abaci (Book Of Caluclations) He discovered a phenominal relationship between numbers. The number sequence is 1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34,55,89,144...etc. The sum of any two consectuive numbers is equal the next higher number. After the first 4 numbers the ratio of any number to it's next higher number is approxinately .618. The ratio of any number to it's next lower number is approcimately 1.618.  Fibonnaci is used in Elliot Wave analysis and is used to help determine price retracements in impluse and corrective waves

MACD:  Moving average convergence divergence is a price momentum indicator. It is based on the difference between two moving averages. It is helpful in seeing swings in the market as well as warning of changes of direction.  

Stochastics:  Geroge Lane developed this oscilator. It shows two lines the %K and the %D that oscilate between 0 and 100.  As prices move these two lines will cross over The % D is the most important to watch.  

ADX Directional Movement: The ADX is great for helping identifiy how much directional movement there is in a market. In markets trending higher the +DMI gives an indication of how strong the move is. In markets trending downward  the -DMI gives an indication of of how strong the move is.  

Parabolic:  We use the parabolic to help with stop placement and identifing ends of trends. It is actualy a time price reversal system with acceleration built in. 

Moving Averages This is one of the most widely used technical tool. It is the basis of many trend trading systems. It helps to identify new trends that have begun and ends of trends that have changed direction. It does not predict which way the market is going to go.
